Next, you have to set up web hosting if you want to start a new blog. Don’t waste your time and money on weebly, blogger or wordpress.COM – these are not long term viable options and actually more expensive than using the free wordpress.org software and sign up with a shared host. And you have a LOT more options with wordpress and a lot more resources to choose from, so let’s get started there.

Once in your hosting account, you need to point nameservers – very easy, just watch the video – and take a first look around your cPanel (control panel). You won’t spend much time here but you should know where things are.

The next step in how to start a blog or website is logging into your wordpress admin account and take a first tour.

You can start creating your first pages and posts, create a menu, and set other design options for your blog or website.
