WordPress Theme Install: ThemeForest.net Premium WordPress Theme | WP Learning Lab

There are two places you can find WordPress themes:

1. The WordPress respository which you can find in your website’s admin panel (click Appearances then click Add New). Or you can browser the repository here: https://wordpress.org/themes/. This is the place to go for free WordPress themes.

2. Premium (Paid) 3rd party themes. There are a lot of premium theme sellers including ThemeForest.net, ElegantThemes.com, WooThemes.com and others.

The video above deals specifically with a free WordPress themes found in the WordPress repository.

Below you discover how to install WordPress free themes. This a WordPress beginner tutorial as well, so I’ll break everything about installing WordPress themes down to it’s basics.

To get to the WordPress repository inside your WordPress site click on “Appearance”, then “Themes”, then “Add New”. On the add new page you will see themes from the WordPress repository appearing. You can use the search and filter features to find themes that have certain functionality or certain color schemes.

When you found a theme you may like you can hover over it and click on Details and Preview to see more information about the theme and how it may look on your site.

When you’ve found a theme you want to try click on the “Install” button to install it. If the install was successful you can click the link to Live Preview the new theme, you can click to Activate the theme or you can click the link to go back to the list of themes.

If you’re happy with how the theme previews, you can choose to activate it and you’re ready to go!
